Customize Map Appearance Settings

Being able to adjust how and what shows up on the map will help you focus on finding clients hit by storms.

Here are two map settings you may find helpful to utilize:
  1. Turning on "Show Polygons Outlines" and turning off "Show Polygons" will allow you to see a cleaner version of the weather events when you have multiple storms activated.
  2. "Show Points of Interest" allows you to see pictures reported by homeowners of what the storm looked like in their neighborhood.


Mobile App 

1.  Along the bottom bar, select Maps tab, indicated with a "location icon"


2.  Click Map Settings indicated by a "gear" icon along the right-hand bar

      

3.  Select one of the following settings:
A.  Map Type: Select your preference of Hybrid or Street view of the map
B.  Show Polygons: Choose to see Weather Events as a solid color *turning this on allows you to Toggle Map Layers
C.  Show Points of Interests: Choose to see any relevant pictures tied to a downloaded Weather Event *if a weather event has a Point of Interest, the Point of Interest will be indicated on the weather event with a "photo" icon
D.  Only Show Polygon Outlines: Choose to see the outline of Weather Events *turn Show Polygons off 
E.  Show Canvassing Campaigns: Select if Campaigns are visible on your map
F.   Display NOAA Storm Reports: Choose to show NOAA Storm Reports with downloaded weather events
G.  Zoom After Downloading Event: Depending on what you are accomplishing when downloading a weather event, you may want to see the whole storm or not move at all
H.  Show Assets: Select if you want your assets visible on the map





Desktop App

1.  Along the left-hand bar, select Maps tab, indicated with a "location icon"


2.  Click Map Settings indicated by a "gear" icon along the right-hand bar


    1. Map Type: Select your preference of Hybrid or Street view

    3. Show Polygons: Choose to see Weather Events as a solid color *turning this on allows you to Toggle Map Layers
    4. Show Points of Interests: Choose to see any relevant pictures tied to a downloaded Weather Event *if a weather event has a Point of Interest, the Point of Interest will be indicated on the weather event with a "photo" icon
    5. Only Show Polygon Outlines: Choose to see the outline of Weather Events *turn Show Polygons off 
    6. Show Canvassing Campaigns: Select if Campaigns are visible on your map
    7. Display NOAA Storm Reports: Choose to show NOAA Storm Reports with downloaded weather events
